Things To Do Near the Middle Buffalo River

Nature's Loft is 4.4 miles from the Buffalo River and Gilbert river access. The Creek Cabins at Brush Creek is 3.8 miles from Marshall, AR. Mudita Couples Spa sits on top of Star Mountain, about 5 miles from Marshall. All three properties put you in the heart of the Middle Buffalo, one of the most centrally located spots in the Arkansas Ozarks. The float season here runs longer than the upper stretch, so you're not racing the calendar to get on the water. Gilbert is the main access point for floating and kayaking. Beyond the river, the Richland Creek Wilderness has trails and waterfalls that run hard after rain, back roads built for ATVs, and small Ozark towns worth a half-day drive in any direction. Blanchard Spring Caverns, about an hour out, is one of the finest cave systems in the country. Marshall has local shops, diners, and a bakery, and the Kenda Drive-In Theater is worth a night out. Spring through fall is the sweet spot.
