Things to Note
My name is Melissa Barnes and I am your host. There are a few things I want to mention regarding our rental requirements so that you arrive prepared. In order to offer our guests clean, beautiful places to enjoy, we uphold high standards and ask our guests to do the same. Please review the notes below before your stay.
- Rental agreement required: acknowledgment of our house rules and an explanation of our cancellation policies.
- Refundable security deposit: $200–$300 depending on the rental; retreat deposits are $600. This is an authorization hold placed 48 hours before check-in and released 48 hours after checkout, provided no major damage has occurred. Normal wear and tear is not considered damage. If something breaks or is not working, please notify us immediately.
- Smoke-free property.
- No pets: We cannot risk potential damage or dander that may trigger allergies.
- Cancellation policy: 100% refund if canceled 30+ days before check-in; 50% refund if canceled 14+ days before; no refund within 14 days of check-in.
- House manual: You will receive a digital house guide at booking with check-in details and home information. Properties have limited to no cell service, but Wi‑Fi and Wi‑Fi calling are available. We recommend downloading the guide to your phone.
- Road and vehicle guidance: Our locations are remote. A truck or SUV is recommended. Roads to Nature’s Loft and The Creek Cabins at Brush Creek are gravel and can be rough at times. Mudita is mostly highway with a steep gravel driveway.
- Payment plans available: If you need to pay in installments, please reach out to arrange this.
